bony Marketing Research, Inc. (EMR) was created in 1984 by Mrs. Ebony Kirkland, our President and Chief Executive Officer. Mrs. Kirkland formed the company in response to what she perceived as a void in the marketing research industry, specifically among African- American, Asian and Hispanic markets.

A native of Costa Rica, Mrs. Kirkland combined her bilingual abilities with her strong community connections and first-rate research skills to produce valuable studies that attracted an ever growing list of corporate clients. She has since become widely recognized for her ability to develop innovative query techniques tailored to elicit honest and revealing responses from traditionally hard-to-reach market segments.

Over the past twenty years, the company has grown dramatically and now provides a comprehensive range of quantitative and qualitative marketing services for business, government and non-profit organizations.

Ebony Marketing Research now operates major facilities in New York, New Jersey, Washington DC and Miami, as well as field offices in Atlanta and Costa Rica, and conducts major marketing studies in all parts of the country.
